What Is Chunk Porting?

Chunk porting involves removing material from both the slide and barrel, creating a system that works together to control recoil.

Unlike basic barrel porting, chunk porting:

• Opens the slide to allow gas escape

Advanced Internal Barrel Enhancements (Bull Barrel Platforms Only)

This is where our system separates from standard chunk porting—but it’s only possible on bull barrel pistols, where additional material allows for safe and effective internal machining.

Expansion Chamber (Bull Barrels Only)

We machine an internal expansion chamber into the barrel, allowing gases to:

• Expand before exiting the ports
• Increase gas efficiency
• Improve upward pressure through the ports

Back-Bored Barrel (Bull Barrels Only)

We also back bore the muzzle end of the barrel, which:

• Optimizes gas release timing
• Reduces turbulence at the muzzle
• Improves shot-to-shot consistency

👉 These enhancements are not available on standard profile barrels due to material limitations.

When applicable, this results in a more efficient and higher-performing porting system compared to traditional chunk porting.
